Terms of sale

These terms apply to every sale of goods by Master Build Mason ("we", "us"), a business based in England, to you. By accepting a quote or paying for an order you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Master Build Mason, England. Email info@masterbuildmason.com. Business registration details: [to follow].

2. Quotes and orders

Prices on the website are per square metre, inc VAT at 20%, ex-warehouse. A written quote states the tiles, the number of boxes, the price, the delivery charge and the expected delivery date. A quote is valid for 14 days. Your order is accepted, and a contract formed, when we confirm it in writing after your payment has cleared. We may decline an order, for example if stock has sold out, and will refund anything paid.

3. Payment

Payment is in pounds sterling by card or bank transfer, in full before dispatch, unless you hold a trade account with agreed terms. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store card details. Goods remain our property until paid for in full.

4. Delivery

Delivery is to the kerbside at the address on the order, as set out on our delivery and returns page, which forms part of these terms. Delivery dates are estimates; we are not liable for delays caused by carriers, weather or events outside our control, but you may cancel and receive a full refund if we cannot deliver within 30 days of the confirmed date. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

5. Description, shade and quantity

Porcelain tiles are a printed, fired product. Colour, pattern and surface vary between tiles and between production batches; samples indicate the range, not an exact match. We supply each order from one shade and calibre batch where possible and state the codes on the boxes. It is your responsibility to check quantity, shade and calibre before fixing, and to order enough for cuts and future repairs. Tiles that have been fixed are accepted as conforming.

6. Cancellation and returns

Consumers have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, as described on the delivery and returns page, except for goods made or specially ordered to your specification. Return carriage is at your cost. Business customers have no right to cancel once an order is confirmed.

7. Faulty goods and liability

If goods are faulty or not as described, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply and we will repair, replace or refund them. Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to the price paid for it. We are not liable for the cost of fixing, removing or refixing tiles, for loss of profit, or for any indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything the law does not allow us to limit.

8. Installation

We supply materials, not installation. Fixing advice on this website is general guidance; follow the adhesive and grout manufacturers' instructions and British Standard BS 5385. Suitability of a tile for a particular use is your, or your installer's, decision.

9. Trade accounts

Trade accounts are offered at our discretion. Credit terms, where agreed, are 30 days from invoice; overdue accounts may be charged interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 and supplies may be suspended.

10. Complaints and law

Complaints go to info@masterbuildmason.com and we aim to reply within two working days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Consumers keep any rights of their country of residence that cannot be excluded.
